ILIMITADA SIERRA ( SS.COM ARCHIVES )
________________________________________

ShoujoStation.com was a project started by myself and Diana, around April 2002. We wanted to make an anime/manga-themed link directory that offered articles and tips for webmasters, and a community for anime fans to gather in! SScom was very active for about two years, until real life (and laziness) took its toll. The directory is pretty dormant and needs a complete overhaul, but I have faith that one day I will go back and revive it. The staffers and I put a ton of work into SScom, and it would be a shame to see it all go to waste. So I have some hopes that I'll be able to reopen it one day! Mind you, I've been saying this for like two years, but it'll happen someday...! *__*

June 2002 (feat. Suzuhara Misaki & Hikaru of Angelic Layer)

The grand opening of SScom! It's very neat and organized, just the way I likes it. You can't really see it in the screenshot, but each link on the menus on the right had a little icon that I painstakingly made myself. There was a lot of patience and squinting at my monitor, but the end result was totally worth it and gave the directory such a personal touch. The SScom Forums also had a matching skin, and I regret not taking a screenshot of it, since it was really very pretty. At the time, I thought it was one of the prettiest forums around!

December 2002 (feat. Mireille & Kirika of Noir)

This was the Christmas layout for SScom, though you wouldn't really know it. I like the colour red, but for some reason I just don't work with it too much. I was generally happy with how the layout turned out, but the text area is a little hard to read. I really like that image of Mireille and Kirika though, so I think that as long as I didn't do too much to that main image, the layout as a whole would have turned out fine. Notice the layout text was all Times New Roman -- at the time, Diana had this campaign that supported Times New Roman since a lot of webmasters/mistresses were biased against it. Just to have a little fun with it, I used TNR as the main text font on this layout, which drove a ton of people crazy. Poor TNR, truly the red-headed stepchild of the font world.

July 2003 (feat. Chise of Saishu Heiki Kanojo)

Hmm. Well, this layout is pretty "mreh". I think I was sort of uninspired at the time, and came up with this layout like within the space of an hour. I like the colours and the background textures (you can't see it, but there was a sort of "paper towel" texture happening on the blue/white text area part), but the image of Chise was "okay" at best. Though in my defense, at the time, there was literally like one site online about SaiKano. But it was readable and easy to navigate, so I got the job done.
