Name(s): Omocha Yasushi
|
Omocha Yasushi (or as Dejiko calls him, "Ya-san") is the older brother of Omocha Kyoshi, and the owner of a toy store called "Super Bakumatsu Omocha Gekokujou" (which Dejiko later renames to "Super Omo-chan"), which is located in the Manekinkeko Shopping District. He's a toy inventor, and is always working on some crazy new toy -- his dream is to make the perfect toy that everyone will love. Unfortunately, most of the time his idea of "the perfect toy" is not that appealing or even a good idea to begin with. As Dejiko says in DiGi Charat Nyo, episode 4: "I don't want to help out in the toy store, because that would give Ya-san free time to make more troublesome toys."
Yasushi also has an odd quirk of taking words in a sentence and combining them, to make an "abbreviated" version of it. For example, he'll say something like, "suteki na omochaya" (meaning "wonderful toy store") and shorten it to "suteomo" (the first letters of "suteki" and "omochaya" combined). He does this all the time, often when he's talking to himself.
In some ways, he reminds me of Takurou Kimura, from the DiGi Charat TV series. Yasushi has the same blonde hair (though Ya-san's is more wavy and Kimura's is long), and have the same face. Both men have the bishounen sparkles and have strange language-related quirks (Ya-san's being the shortening of sentences, Kimura's is his dislike of adding extra words to sentences). And most importantly, both Yasushi and Kimura absolutely adore Puchiko!
