      When Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema arrive in America (during the Natsuyasumi season), they meet Rod Young -- an American fanboy. He is obsessed with Dejiko, and has been dreaming of the day when he would meet Dejiko and the gang. He likes to cosplay (costume play) as Dejiko, and even carries a DiGi Charat character guide at all times. He's extremely loud and speaks japanese in a horrendous American accent, and tries to show Dejiko and the gang a good time by showing them around America. Rod appears in the first two episodes of the Natsuyasumi series, but is disappointed when Dejiko decides that she must go back to Japan. So, by the end of the Natsuyasumi season, Rod himself visits Dejiko and friends in Akihabara -- and of course, arrives at a rather inconvenient moment...
