++ ABOUT PUCHIKO (PETIT CHARAT)
Name(s): Petit Charat
Petit Charat (or "Puchiko", as she prefers to be called) was also with with Dejiko and Gema, when their spaceship landed in Akihabara. Absolutely tiny and oozing cuteness, Puchiko is much more reserved and quieter than Dejiko, and seldom speaks more than a sentence at any given time. Despite Dejiko's bad habits, Puchiko seems to look up to Dejiko as a big-sister figure -- regardless of the fact that Puchiko does tend to shoot down most of Dejiko's crazier ideas, due to Puchiko's rather simplistic (but funny) point of view of things. Because of her cuteness, she becomes an instant hit with the customers at Gamers. And even regardless of the fact that she is just a kid, Puchiko gains one rather devoted (and persistent) fanboy, by the name of Takurou Kimura.
Our darling Puchiko is really just a child (her statistical information says that she's five years old), but her tone possesses a dry, witty note that often pokes fun at her hyperactive elder -- probably because her observations tend to cut to the heart of a situation. What's interesting to note is that despite her age, Puchiko doesn't seem to view herself as a child -- she's quite serious and responsible (which is more than we can say about a certain green-haired catgirl...), and even runs errands for The Manager at Gamers. Gema and Dejiko will sometimes worry about her being out alone, but as Puchiko herself says, "Puchiko is not a child."
Like Dejiko, she also wears a cat-shaped cap and a tail (though her cat hat is orange), and her fanservicey outfit consists of a school girl uniform. Puchiko isn't one to waste words and rant (perhaps due to her youth) -- often, her speaking lines are only a few words long, and direct. She is very soft spoken, and seems to delight in generally inflicting pain on Gema. And of course, she affixes the word "-nyu" at the end of her sentences.
Like Dejiko, Puchiko can also shoot laser beams from her eyes -- but unfortunately, since she's very young, the ability is spotty, at best. Puchiko wishes she could be as good as Dejiko at getting angry -- the laser beams only come out when a character is agitated or angry. Puchiko seldom changes expression; she always seems to have that same, vacant but oh-so cute facial expression and never shows any signs of being angry. During one episode, Puchiko makes it a point to practive being angry, so that she can learn to use her laser beams -- and she eventually does get it right. Trust good old Gema to make anyone angry. ^__^;;
Puchiko also has a little orange cat that accompanies her wherever she goes, called Hokke Mirin. It kind of appears somewhere after the original TV series, though I can't quite pinpoint when. Hokke Mirin doesn't say anything, it just follows Puchiko around, twitching and rolling around randomly. I'm not really sure that it really does anything else. Other than look cute, of course. ^_^
