++ EPISODE GUIDE: DIGI CHARAT HANAMI
This four episode series was first aired in Japan in spring of 2001. Each episode here is roughly fifteen minutes long. The OP and ED songs can be found in the music files section of the site.
Episode 1: The evil settles down...
("Sumitsukuaku...")
Dejiko, Gema, and Puchiko are sitting up in their room. Dejiko and Gema are complaining that even though it is spring, it still feels cold. Puchiko says that she can hear voices coming from their closet sometimes. Gema remarks that hearing voices is a scary thing, but he's used to the weird stuff that happens in their room. Dejiko comments that she's hungry, then smells something delicious coming from the closet. Dejiko opens the closet, only to find Pyoko and the Black Gema Gema Dan eating and relaxing in her closet. They talk about their food for a few minutes, then Dejiko demands to know why they are in her closet. Dejiko continues to badger Pyoko as to what she's doing in her closet, but Puchiko comments on how good the food smells. Gema is confused and thinks eating in someone's closet doesn't make sense. The Black Gema Gema Dan all agree that inconveniencing Dejiko and the gang is an evil thing, even if it is slightly abnormal.
The Black Gema Gema Dan start to pose and wiggle around the room, thus infuriating Dejiko even further. Dejiko starts to do her laser beam attack, but is taunted by Rik, Ky, and Coo, who all say that if she does her attack in the room, it will be confescated. Defeated, Dejiko can only watch helplessly as the Black Gema Gema Dan invade her room. Suddenly, someone knocks on the door. Dejiko answers it and finds Abarenbou. Abarenbou apparently lives next door, and asks Dejiko to stop barging around her room. Dejiko wonders if The Manager was angry and sent Abarenbou to scold her. Pyoko states that if Dejiko was scolded, she was probably being a bad girl. Pyoko then says that she wants to be scolded too, and uses her mouth bazooka attack in the room. Abarenbou knocks on the door again, and scolds Pyoko. Pyoko rejoices, because she's even more of a bad girl.
Meanwhile, Dejiko cannot hold her temper anymore, so she uses her laser beam attack in the room. The room is destroyed, and Abarenbou limps through the opening in the wall, and warns Dejiko about being violent. He then stubs his toe on a rock and limps away. Dejiko looks for the Black Gema Gema Dan, and finds them in the kitchen, cleaning their pots and dishes in their sink. Dejiko demands to know what they are doing, but instead they jump into the sink and proceed to take a bath. Dejiko can only stare in horror as they use up her hot water and the soap detergent. Pyoko and company step out of the sink, and proceed to shake themselves off like dogs, and end up spraying Dejiko with soap bubbles. Pyoko walks back towards the room, and says that she needs to sleep. The Black Gema Gema Dan then take up all the room and sleep on all the beds
But Dejiko has a plan. She pretends that Pyoko's sleeping in her room is troublesome. Pyoko exults in her victory and says that the only solution is for Dejiko and company to live in their closet, which would be even more troublesome. Dejiko smiles and concludes living in her closest would be best, and heads off to sit inside. Pyoko and the Black Gema Gema Dan are confused. Pyoko asks if it's really okay for them to live in the closet, and Dejiko assures them -- but her voice is not the normal, high pitched voice. Instead, it's low and doesn't suit Dejiko. This scares Pyoko and the gang, so they decide to go home.
On their way out, Dejiko stops them. She states that since Pyoko and the gang are now guests in her room, Dejiko must charge them. While Dejiko and Puchiko are figuring out the cost, Pyoko and the Black Gema Gema Dan run away. Dejiko fires her laser beam, and reduces Gamers to a smoking pile of rubble. Meanwhile, Dejiko and company are still adding the cost together -- it's so much money, that the numbers wouldn't fit on the calculator. Pyoko and the gang are shocked by the price, and run away...

Episode 2: Cherry blossom, cherry blossom...
("Sakura, sakura...")
Dejiko, Puchiko, Gema, and Rabi~en~Rose are all seated beneath a big cherry blossom tree. They all seem very drowsy and quiet, bemused by the beautiful cherry blossoms around them. Dejiko looks up at the warm sun, and ends up sneezing because she stared at the sun too long. Still bemused, Dejiko says that The Manager is late. Dejiko, Puchiko, Gema, and Rabi~en~Rose were supposed to find a good spot for viewing the cherry blossoms -- The Manager and everyone else had gone to buy food and were going to meet up with them later. Off to the side, a large pile of people complain that they had been shot by a laser beam.
Dejiko wonders where everyone is, while Puchiko runs off and chases the cherry blossom petals. Rabi looks at a blossom that has landed on her fingernail and blows it away. Suddenly, Pyoko appears and does a mouth bazooka attack, and ends up hitting some people off in the distance. Dejiko demands to know why Pyoko is there, but when they look, Pyoko is fast asleep. Dejiko gets annoyed and shoots her laser beams at Pyoko. Pyoko wakes up and wonders why Dejiko is being so noisy, but in the middle of talking, she starts to fall asleep again, and shoots another mouth bazooka attack. Dejiko tries to shake Pyoko awake, and demands to know why Pyoko is there. Pyoko smiles and says that she is saving a spot for the Black Gema Gema Dan, for their flower viewing day. Dejiko tells her that the tree is their spot, and that Pyoko can go find another one. Pyoko states that being selfish isn't good, and the two of them face off. After a few minutes both give up and go back to relaxing under the tree.
Suddenly, Pyoko yells that something important has happened. The corner of Dejiko's blanket is wrinkled, and Pyoko tells her to straighten it out. Dejiko comments on how petty that was, and the two of them face off again. After a few minutes they give up again, and go back to relaxing under the tree. Pyoko's hand accidentally rests on Dejiko's blanket, and the two of them argue and give up, a third time.
Everyone under the tree remarks that it's getting late, and start to fall asleep. They all fall asleep, and a song starts to play, showing images of all of them. Finally, The Manager and company, as well as the Black Gema Gema Dan appear with the food, only to find that Dejiko, Puchiko, Gema, Rabi~en~Rose, and Pyoko have all cuddled together and are fast asleep. They all decide to eat without waking them up and enjoy a quiet, peaceful picnic...

Episode 3: Long-haired big brother, nyu...
("Ke naga onii-san, nyu...")
Puchiko and Hokke-Mirin (her cat) are walking down the street, when Puchiko notices something. Back at Gamers, Dejiko is bored. Rabi~en~Rose notes that everyone is outside playing. Dejiko decideds to take an afternoon nap, but Gema whaps her awake and reminds her that Puchiko went out to run an errand for The Manager, but hasn't come back yet. Meanwhile, Kimura is walking down the street, reminiscing about his meal and how full he is. Suddenly, he has stomach pains and lurches to find a bathroom. He remembers that a preschool (that his rich family owns) is nearby and heads towards that.
On the way to the preschool, he sees Puchiko looking at the preschool. Kimura has a dilemma. He wants to talk to Puchiko, but at the same time has to go to the bathroom very badly. Puchiko suddenly remembers that she has to go back to the store and runs off. One of the kids in the preschool approaches Kimura and asks him if anything is wrong. Kimura thinks about Puchiko and comes up with an idea. Meanwhile, Dejiko is craving oranges. Puchiko says that oranges only come out during spring, but Dejiko is adamant and wants to eat oranges. Someone comes to the door with a package, and Dejiko muses that the package could be oranges. Gema opens the package and is surprised to see a preschool uniform in the box. The card inside reads: "to Puchiko from gallant onii-san (brother)" -- Gema remarks on how suspicious it is.
The next day, Puchiko puts on her preschool uniform and sets off towards the preschool. Gema wakes up and begs Puchiko not to go to school, but Puchiko states that she can go by herself, and that she's not a child. At the preschool, Puchiko is introduced to the class. Kimura is also sitting in the class that day, as a guest. Puchiko and the kids start to draw, and she draws a picture of Dejiko's laser beam. The kids notice that Kimura is drawing a picture of Puchiko, though not very well.
Back at Gamers, Gema is worried if Puchiko is okay at school. Dejiko and Rabi~en~Rose don't seem to be too worried, and Rabi suggests that Gema go check on Puchiko. Gema protests that the store needs help, but Rabi reminds Gema that he doesn't really do anything in the store anyway. Gema runs off crying and Rabi apologizes, because it was only a joke. Meanwhile, at the preschool, the students are all playing with play dough. Kimura ends up making Puchiko's tail. Puchiko ends up making some natto (fermented soy beans) because she likes eating natto. Next, Puchiko and the kids have snack time -- the snack of the day is cookies. All of the kids cluster around Kimura and ask him to eat all the cookies, but Puchiko packs hers away, so that she can share them with Dejiko and Gema for dinner.
Gema has just arrived at the preschool, so he can check on Puchiko. On his way in, Gema is hit by a yellow ball. Puchiko runs to get the ball, but instead picks Gema up. She throws Gema towards the kids, but throws it too hard, so it goes very, very far. All the students are frightened, and Gema floats away, wondering why he had to be thrown. Back at Gamers, Rabi~en~Rose wonders what is going on -- when Gema appears, looking seriously beaten up. Gema says that the preschool is a dangerous place, and that he's worried. Suddenly, Pyoko and the Black Gema Gema Dan appear, saying that they have some packages to drop off -- even though nothing was ordered. Pyoko starts to do her mouth bazooka attack, but Dejiko stuffs Hen na Ikomono in her mouth to stop her. Dejiko states that dangerous attacks are strictly forbidden. Pyoko and the gang wonder if it's true, and run off. Then, Dejiko shoots her laser beams at them, and explains that dangerous attacks are strictly forbidden, but not for her. Rabi notes that the useless packages were still left behind, but Dejiko says that she has something she has to do and leaves the store. Gema remarks that everyone's been stepping on him lately.
Everyone at the preschool is going home. Puchiko watches as families come to pick up their kids, and states that she should also be heading home. Kimura offers his hand to walk her home, but Puchiko realizes that the person who sent the preschool uniform to their room was Kimura. Suddenly, Dejiko appears to pick up Puchiko. Puchiko runs towards Dejiko, but comes back to Kimura -- and returns the preschool uniform. Puchiko tells Kimura that she had a lot of fun, and thanks him. Then, she goes back to Dejiko, and goes back home, to Gamers...

Episode 4: Don't call me Rabi~en~Rose...
("Rabi~en~Rose to yobidanai de...")
Rabi~en~Rose is angry, because Dejiko isn't around and the store is very busy. She angrily stalks up the stairs to Dejiko's room, but is surprised to see an old man sitting in the room. The old man promptly changes into an old woman. Rabi asks who the old man was, and Gema replies that it's Dejiko. The old woman turns into a dog, and then back to Dejiko. Dejiko notices Rabi~en~Rose and politely thanks her for coming to visit. Rabi can't believe that Dejiko is calling her by her stage name and is being polite. Everyone comments on how strange it is to have Dejiko acting polite, and Gema says that Dejiko has caught the DiGi Charat Illness. Takeshi and Yoshimi appear and are looking for Dejiko. Dejiko greets them and calls them by their names (and not "bukimi", as she normally calls them). Takeshi and Yoshimi are so thrilled that Dejiko remembers their names that they crawl away without comment, leaving Rabi~en~Rose somewhat puzzled.
The next day, Rabi is walking to school. She is still thinking about Dejiko, and though she likes Dejiko being polite, it messes up her mood still. At school, Rabi's class has a new student -- who turns out to be Minagawa! Minagawa greets her by her stage name, which causes a commotion among the students. Rabi~en~Rose tells Minagawa not to call her by her stage name at school, but to call her "Usada" instead. Minagawa is in heaven, being able to watch Usada in classes. At the end of the day, Minagawa finally works up the courage to ask if he can walk home with Usada, but finds that she has already left.
The next morning, Rabi~en~Rose visits Dejiko, and tries to provoke her by teasing and being annoying. Dejiko is still in the same polite condition, and even tries to imitate Rabi's irritating dance, but instead turns into a bunch of bananas. Rabi asks if anything can be done to cure her, but Gema and Puchiko like her being a polite girl. Rabi~en~Rose insists that Dejiko is boring in this condition. Gema says the that the illness is curable -- if Rabi can get the "mysterious acorn", Dejiko will be cured. Puchiko gives Rabi a drawing of the acorn, but it looks like a purple scribble. Gema muses that he thinks he saw it somewhere around the area, but can't recall where.
At school, Rabi is still worrying about Dejiko and it's bothering her. Minagawa notices how preoccupied Rabi is, and thinks that it's his fault that Rabi is angry -- because he started attending her school. Suddenly, Gema comes flying into their classroom, yelling that he remembered where the mysterious acorn is. He says that the acorn is on the mountain behind their school. Rabi asks why Gema isn't going to the mountain, but Gema states that he never wants to go near the mountain. Rabi wonders why she's going through all the effort of saving Dejiko and leaves class. Minagawa follows her, and Rabi warns him again not to call her by her stage name in classes.
Once near the mountain, Usada transforms into Rabi~en~Rose. While walking through a dark forest, they are chased and half eaten by all sorts of plants, monsters, and strange creatures. Rabi wonders where the acorn is. Minagawa spots a door that says "enter at your own risk", and suggests that they hide in there. Upon entering the room, they see that the place is filled with Hen na Ikomono, and it scares them. Behind the bears, Rabi~en~Rose spots the mysterious acorn. She tries to use her ears to fly, but they are broken. Minagawa throws a melon bread in the air, and the bears run to catch it -- then, Rabi and Minagawa run towards the acorn while the bears are distracted. Rabi jumps for the acorn, but Minagawa grabs her and stops her from falling down a high cliff.
Rabi thinks of Dejiko again, and tries to reach for the acorn and slips. Luckily, Minagawa grabs her hand and together they reach for the acorn. Then, the vine that Minagawa was holding onto breaks and both plummet down the cliff. Rabi ends up spraining her ankle from the fall, so Minagawa offers to carry her home. The two of them reach Gamers, and hand the acorn over to Gema and Puchiko to make Dejiko better. Dejiko drinks the medecine made from the acorn and promptly returns to normal. Dejiko takes one look at Rabi~en~Rose's tattered and dirty appearance and begins to make fun of her. The two of them start to fight again, and all is well.
The next day, Rabi is running to school because she's late. She meets Minagawa on the way there, and thanks him for his help in saving Dejiko -- and also to never call her "Rabi~en~Rose" while at school.
