++ ABOUT TAKESHI AND YOSHIMI ("BUKIMI-SAN")
Name(s): Yoshimi (left) and Takeshi (right)
Every idol needs a few loyal fanboys. Yoshimi and Takeshi are Dejiko's pair of fanboys who worship the ground she walks on, and faithfully proclaim their obsession every chance they get. They are stereotypical fanboys in almost every sense of the word (meaning they're geeky and not too attractive, and really, really obsessed with Dejiko), and do everything in their power to keep Dejiko happy and well. They wear shirts with Dejiko logos and buttons on them, and are also among the few people who actually resemble people (and not walking fingers). They're also both noticeably nerdy looking and nerdy sounding -- much like the stereotype of grown men who live in their parents' basement, who have no hope at all of going on a date or even meeting someone of the opposite sex.
Yoshimi is the shorter, rolly-polly fanboy with the wavy blond hair (pictured on the left) and Takeshi is the taller, dark haired one (pictured on the right). They randomly appear at Gamers to buy merchandise and to worship Dejiko in all her glory. During one episode, Dejiko loses her tail, and these two are the ones who find it and return it to her -- at the expense of ending up at the "Hell Store" and trying to talk their way out of an uncertain death. And when Dejiko is accused of stealing Minagawa's melon bread, Yoshimi and Takeshi are adamant in their belief that Dejiko is innocent -- and when they do finally believe it, they promise to visit her in jail. These two are nothing more than walking representations of the rabid fanboys in Japan. When Dejiko finally notices these two fanboys (after they return her tail) she mistakenly refers to them "Bukimi-san", instead of by their real names. Apparently, when Yoshimi and Takeshi's names are read in Kanji characters, it can be pronounced as "Bukimi", meaning "weird ones". How strangely fitting, eh?
